I presume that your here because of the mention of the manga/anime, Haikyuu. If not, then I would love to brief you on it! The manga series "Haikyuu", created by Haruchi Furudate. The main character, Hinata Shoyo is obsessed with volleyball after seeing a volleyball player named "The Little Giant" on TV. Inspired by him, Hinata joins his middle school volleyball club. Although, during his first ever volleyball tournament, he meets the infamous Kageyama Tobio. Who he ends up losing to pretty badly.
Later on in high school, Hinata and Kageyama end up on the same volleyball team, the Karasuno volleyball club,. They fight of course, seeing how they were rivals in the past, but soon, they put their fighting aside and work together as an invincible duo. As they continue playing together, they go against many different volleyball teams across Japan and learn many, many new things on their journey.
There's a variety of reasons why Haikyuu is a great anime/manga to read/watch, here's a couple reasons why!
Karasuno, or once known as the flightless crows, was a powerhouse in the Miyagi prefecture. Unfortuently, due to them not being able to pass their prefecture preliminaries, they revcieved their nickname, "the flightless crows". Back then, Karasuno did not have a coach, with the captain, Daichi Sawamura stepped up until their current coach, Kenshin Ukai became the coach of Karasuno. With their powerful players (Nishinoya Yu, Hinata Shoyo, Kageyama Tobio, Tsukishima Kei, Asahi Azumane, Daichi Sawamura, etc.), they were able to win the 2012 Qualifiers Miyagi Tournament against Shiritorizawa (A team I will talk about later) and got to go to nationals! Yay! Atlas, they finally brought back their past glory.
